Product Description:

The Stron Smart Data Concentrator Unit STC18-A is specifically designed for Smart Metering applications. It serves as a gateway that connects metering devices with the AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) systems, facilitating efficient data exchange.

The STC18-A supports two-way communication, enabling seamless interaction between metering points and the AMR/AMI system. It performs various essential functions such as task configuration, data collection, data transmission, and data storage. In addition, it manages meter operations, executes GPRS-related information tasks, and oversees the RF network management.

Moreover, the ST368 unit optimizes communication by utilizing LORA-RF technology for downlink transmissions to smart meters, while relying on GPRS for uplink communication. This combination ensures reliable and efficient data flow within the smart metering network.

Product Overview: Data Concentrate Unit

The Data Concentrate Unit is available in two sizes: 2G and 4G, designed to efficiently gather data from multiple meters. It operates within a voltage range of AC 160V to 300V, ensuring compatibility with various electrical systems.

Its frequency range spans from 45Hz to 65Hz, making it suitable for different regional power standards. The device functions reliably in temperatures ranging from -25℃ to 70℃ and can withstand humidity levels up to 95%, allowing it to be used in diverse environmental conditions.

Equipped with advanced communication modules including GPRS and LORA-RF, the unit offers robust connectivity options. The RS485 port supports a baud rate of 115200bps, facilitating efficient data transmission. It can connect up to 300 meters simultaneously, making it ideal for large-scale monitoring systems.

The maximum operating current of the unit is 500mA, while it consumes only 0.2mA in sleeping mode to save energy. The downlink communication range extends up to 1000 meters, providing extensive coverage for remote data exchange.

In terms of dimensions, the unit measures 158mm by 110mm by 71mm. For installation, it requires an open area free of obstacles and is designed for suspension mounting, ensuring optimal performance and ease of setup.

The shell is constructed from environmentally friendly materials that are free from pollutants, ensuring safety and reliability.

The outer structure is designed with an IP54 protection rating, offering a certain level of waterproofing and dust resistance. It features five LED indicators that display the status of the DCU.

Equipped with a 433MHz extended antenna, the device significantly enhances both the communication range and the stability of centralized meter reading operations.

The entire machine uses an internal switched power supply characterized by wide voltage compatibility and reduced weight. Additionally, the GPRS module is housed in a separate box protected by a transparent clamshell casing, which increases its security.

The DCU fully complies with STS certification standards. Manufactured according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, the product’s reliability and stability are guaranteed, effectively extending the service life of the DCU.
